"Population Report", February 1971

This newsletter, prepared by the American Immigration Committee, criticizes changes in U.S. immigration law that have reduced the number of immigrants from Western Europe and increased immigration from Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. It argues that these changes are harming American society by increasing crime, unemployment, and welfare costs. The publication warns that unless immigration trends are reversed, the cultural and demographic makeup of the U.S. will be permanently changed.
